my opinion, it was necessary first organize Freeplay to exclude inactive clans, and then only playoff 1/8 etc will be easy

I disagree. We shouldnt bother to ask each and every clan if they'll actually play the cup. It should be their responsibility once they sign up.

Anyway, it doesnt quite matter now. I'm working full-time and got no time to try running the cup again (this msg is thru my iphone). So thanks to fryer who dedicated his time and all the rest that helped with the organization. Too bad it didn't work out, yet no biggy.

Wrong. Some admin aid can do wonders; it actually happens that clans are willing and able to play but it simply fails because they don't communicate. Already happened to my own clan in a league - we were asked (by an admin) if we could play 'XYZ playoff match" right now because our enemies had 3 online. Sometimes you have to pester the shit out of people and sometimes you don't.

Especially in a new inspiring cup its like pester spam do w/e make a bot tell people to play matches. Also could spam for your gather like you did when it first was made, like i know SRL when its goin on R/l gathers are usually get spammed by bots so people know where to train. I know you guys don't have time but in the future could be nice you know, jus keep people posted with their deadlines....since its basically in playoff style type of brackets etc anyways

people go inactive during off season.

the issue with SLC was that they didn't have rules put out before the cup started, and they wanted clans to play 8 times (during freeplay, then even more matches for play off), which is an unrealistic amount even for very naive people.
